The time period of the exile was now over, and it was time to return to Ayodhya. Rama, Lakshman, Sita, Sugriva, Hanuman, and several others boarded Ravana’s wonderful flower airplane that had been stolen from the demigods, and flew back to Ayodhya.

Rama’s brother Bharat, for whom the exile had been plotted, had never accepted the kingship, but had ruled the kingdom as representative of Rama. There was great rejoicing upon the triumphant return of the Rama the rightful king.
